Keswick here we are!
Morning arrives, we are packed and ready to go, we meet with the other car carrying the other household of the team and say hello at a socially distant space.
Both cars are jam packed and we are set to go for our first trip.
Knowing that this is going to be tough both physically and emotionally we started our journey.
The Lake District (and Keswick in particular) hold a very dear place in Mum and Dads hearts, and now we are doing this journey with just Dad, although we know Mum is with us in our hearts. This wont make the trip any easier, there are a lot of firsts to be undertaken here. Jaz and I fell in love with the lakes after taking a trip up with Mum and Dad 4 years ago, our hearts were stolen by the place.
The trip is over and done with fairly quickly and we arrive in Keswick in the dark, we are staying in a flat let out by Keswick Holiday Homes, which is run by a lady called Angela. We are staying in the Riverside View apartment.
Conveniently located behind the Booths Supermarket and a short walk to the town, we decided to quickly unpack and have a walk into the town.
Now if you haven’t been to Keswick before then you need to put it on your list, its fantastic any time of the year but Christmas is magical there, the town is so pretty all lit up!
We took a lovely picture of the high street and walked back via the local pizza parlour and got our food together for the night.
We are planning to do a walk tomorrow to cut our teeth into the challenge. So an early night for us all!
See you tomorrow Wainwrights!

Ladybower Reservoir walk.
Well this was an epic walk around Ladybower and Derwent Dam, it started off as a bright but chilly and windy day with weather warnings of gales travelling south, but for our expedition, it was just right for a walk, sheltered and no rain, however, it turned into an epic adventure in the end.
We drove to the Fairholmes visitor centre set just in front of one of the famous...
Context and Perspective
CONTEXT AND PERSPECTIVE
I live a life in the form of a split personality, a “Jekyll and Hyde” of sorts. I’m getting good at flicking between these two personalities, but in real life Mr. Jekyll only wants to keep you focussed on the past with only one perspective, a very narrow vanishing point, like looking down a train track, where your past extends along the track for as far as you can see, li...
