MICA Travels are a group of family and friends that are dedicated to raise awareness of Bile duct cancer and sepsis, two illnesses that claim 1000’s of lives each year and are barely known about. I lost my wife; our sons lost their mother and many others lost a dear friend. We as group will be doing a series of endurance activities to raise money for these charities as a lasting memorial to Carol, so that our sudden loss is not in vain.

Lockdown Challenge - Day 18

Lockdown Challenge Day 18

1460 Miles!

We have pushed through, now chasing down the 75% completion marker!

One member went on a reckie to check out the Roman road (another challenge we will be doing) to see what it was like for a winter walk.... The end result was... well i'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Muddy trail with large tractor tracks
Bicycle fork with brakes clogged up with lots of mud

A tad muddy as you can see, this team member still pedalled on to get the 21 mile distance for the day even though the wheels were clogged up!

Well played!

As we enter the final full week of Lockdown 2.0 I cannot help but wonder if we could potentially hit the 2000 mile mark this week! The team are full of determination so all I can do is say please continue to follow the journey, donate to help us on our mission and come back to see what happens tomorrow!

All the best

The MICA Travels team!
